Job summary

The Project Manager serves as the key Indiana Economic Development Corporation representative for select counties in the Central Indiana Region, responsible for managing IEDC projects, negotiating economic development deals, and fostering relationships with partners and stakeholders.

The role involves attracting new companies and business expansion opportunities, visiting local businesses and officials, and providing technical assistance for IEDC programs to support job creation across Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Sales/Business Development, or related field.
• Experience negotiating complex deals and leading economic development initiatives.
• Knowledge of Indiana's core industries: aerospace/defense, manufacturing, life sciences, logistics, IT.
• Strong written and oral communication, including public speaking.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Northern Indiana and the state.

• Ability to negotiate complex business transactions and lead economic development partners in unified responses
• Willingness to travel frequently within Northern Indiana and the state, and maintain residency in the Northern Indiana region
• Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking and presentations
