Job summary

The State of Georgia and its Department of Economic Development are seeking a Regional Project Manager for Region 4. You will drive existing industry projects and regional recruitment, traveling within the region to engage with business and community leaders and to advance job creation.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3 years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economic Development, Marketing, International Affairs, Economics, Real Estate, or similar field.
Three years of professional experience in a closely related field.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel extensively within the region (3 days/week) and to other regions as needed.
Must reside within the region or be willing to relocate within personal expense.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist existing Georgia companies considering expansion and prospective companies considering a future location in their region.
Travel within the region to meet with business and community leaders and build relationships with stakeholders.
Represent Georgia as lead contact for expansion/new locations and attend trade shows and networking events to develop leads and partnerships.
Develop value-added relationships with executive-level decision makers of existing and prospective companies.
