The American Red Cross seeks a Regional Disaster Action Team Manager to lead disaster volunteer teams for local preparedness, response, and client care. You will manage community and government relationships within your geography to ensure readiness for disasters.

Regional deployments are expected at least once per year to build skills and support operations. The organization offers a mission-driven environment with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading, and developing volunteer teams for social services.
• Valid Driver's License and clean MVR.

Responsabilités

• Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team for disaster cycle services across the region.
• Lead the Program: Implement disaster cycle services activities and help improve regional plans.
• Mission Capacity Building: Develop disaster volunteers representing communities, culturally and linguistically.
• Engage Community: Coordinate efforts to mobilize communities and engage partners for disasters.
• Manage in a Matrix: Build relationships with internal partners and volunteers.
• Know Your Communities: Act as subject matter expert to maximize Red Cross presence.
• Ready to Respond: Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations per operations concept.
