Job summary

BaneCare Management is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to lead a portfolio of skilled nursing and senior living communities across Massachusetts. This senior role drives census, monitors financial performance, and maintains high standards for quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts LNHA license required.
• Multi-site and regional operational experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in skilled nursing.
• Strong budgeting, labor, census, occupancy, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of skilled nursing operations, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Massachusetts.
• Flexibility to lead outside traditional business hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to facility Administrators and leadership teams.
• Drive census growth and occupancy by partnering with facility leadership, admissions, marketing, and clinical teams.
• Monitor census, admissions, payer mix, labor, staffing, expenses, and other key operational metrics.
• Manage facility budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, control expenses, and achieve operating goals.
• Review monthly financial results and develop corrective action plans when performance is below target.
• Support Administrators in developing and executing facility-specific operational and census growth strategies.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective labor management while maintaining quality resident care.
• Maintain strong standards for regulatory compliance, survey readiness, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that improve performance and efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop facility leaders while creating a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with clinical, finance, HR, recruitment, marketing, and other corporate departments to support facility needs.
• Evaluate capital needs, operational investments, and resource allocation.
• Track key performance indicators and provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices affecting skilled nursing and senior living operations.
