Job summary

Highgate Senior Living is seeking a collaborative Director of Operations to lead operational and financial performance across our communities. This executive role reports to the CEO and blends community travel with remote work and time in Issaquah for collaboration and planning.

You will coach Executive Directors, drive occupancy and revenue growth, and ensure regulatory compliance while shaping organizational priorities with Home Office and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive senior management experience.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting, performance metrics, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of senior living regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Ability to travel to assigned Highgate communities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop Executive Directors and leadership teams.
• Provide operational oversight across assigned senior living communities.
• Lead operating plans, annual budgets, financial forecasts, and KPIs.
• Partner with sales leadership to strengthen occupancy and revenue growth.
• Support recruitment, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Champion a resident-centered culture focused on independence, dignity, quality of life, and safety.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and quality assurance practices.
• Collaborate with CEO and Home Office on priorities and new initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, strengthen processes, and solve operational challenges.
