Hawthorn Senior Living currently has an immediate opening for a Regional Director of Maintenance for our independent living locations across the mid-Atlantic.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervising all aspects of facility maintenance, including but not limited to ensuring our communities are properly maintained for efficient and safe operation. You will oversee all construction-related activities in assigned areas and provide hands-on training to in-house maintenance personnel.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5 years of management supervision experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and wall repairs.
  • Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Knowledge of risk and loss control and prevention through maintenance.
  • Competence and knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven experience in effective communication and leadership by example.
  • Regular interaction with community management.
  • Demonstrated initiatives for safety improvement.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Ability to lead and manage under pressure.
  • Strategic thinking and implementation skills.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, train, and execute tasks.
