Hawthorn Senior Living currently has an immediate opening for a Regional Director of Maintenance for our independent living locations across the mid-Atlantic.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervising all aspects of facility maintenance, including but not limited to ensuring our communities are properly maintained for efficient and safe operation. You will oversee all construction-related activities in your assigned areas and provide hands-on training to in-house maintenance personnel.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management supervision.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and wall repairs.
  • Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Knowledge of risk/loss control and prevention through maintenance.
  • Competence and knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven communication skills with leadership by example.
  • Regular interaction with community management.
  • Demonstrated initiatives for safety improvements.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Ability to lead and manage effectively under pressure.
  • Strategic thinking and implementation skills.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, train, and execute tasks.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining the big picture perspective.
