Job summary

Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking a Logistics Professional to lead the Laredo office, overseeing a 400,000 sq ft warehouse and a team of import/export professionals. The Regional Director will be a Licensed Customs Broker with Mexican customs clearance and warehouse operations experience.

The role emphasizes P/L ownership, KPI achievement, and driving continuous improvements with strong customer and vendor relationships to grow profitability and service quality.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
• Advanced understanding of industry terminology, government regulations, and operational processes related to international shipping (ocean and air).
• 7–10 years of supervisory/managerial experience in operations.
• Licensed Customs Broker with experience in Mexican customs clearance procedures and warehouse operations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Laredo branch, including a 400,000 sq ft warehouse and a team of import/export professionals.
• Drive P/L ownership and meet KPI targets while maintaining high quality and customer service.
• Foster strong customer and vendor relationships to grow the business and strengthen market position.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with global partners to identify opportunities and close business.
• Monitor financial metrics and ensure actions to maximize profitability and cash flow.
• Hire, develop and coach staff, and ensure performance feedback and succession planning.
