Job summary

Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking a seasoned Customs Brokerage Manager to lead U.S. import operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance.

You will manage daily activity, supervise a team, cultivate client relationships, and partner with carriers and internal groups to maintain efficient, compliant cargo flow.

This role requires a licensed broker with deep CBP knowledge and leadership to deliver accurate, timely customs clearance.

Qualifications

• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is required.
• CCS certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.
• 7+ years in U.S. customs brokerage and import operations.
• Supervisory or management experience in customs brokerage or import operations.
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, valuation, country of origin, and PGA requirements.
• Experience with air and ocean imports and entry writing.
• Experience managing budgets, profitability, and growth.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CargoWise experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily customs brokerage and import operations for timely clearance.
• Oversee entry writing, classification, valuation, documentation, and post-entry activities.
• Ensure compliance with CBP regulations, PGA requirements, and SOPs.
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Manage customer relationships and support retention and growth.
• Monitor productivity, service levels, and profitability.
• Mentor and develop team; manage staffing and performance.
• Collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal teams for smooth operations.
• Stay updated on changes to U.S. customs regulations and tariffs.
