Job summary

The Lupus Foundation of America is seeking a Development Manager for the Southeast Region to lead Walk to End Lupus Now events, drive revenue through peer-to-peer fundraising, and recruit volunteers. This remote Florida-based role reports to the Division Vice President and supports regional sponsorships, program delivery, and data management.

Responsibilities include managing events, recruiting and guiding volunteer committees, maintaining fundraising records, and expanding community

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in special events, sponsorship sales, and volunteer engagement with proven fundraising success.
Experience leading volunteers and volunteer committees.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Manage Walk to End Lupus Now events and achieve revenue goals through fundraising and partnerships.
Recruit, support, and oversee volunteer committees to meet event targets.
Maintain accurate records and assist constituents with fundraising tools.
Build relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and participants to maximize revenue impact.
Coordinate Lupus & You education programs and regional engagement in line with strategic goals.
Develop knowledge of lupus issues to drive mission-aligned fundraising activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
