Job summary

The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by lupus through research, education and advocacy. The Development Manager drives revenue, recruits volunteers, and provides program support for the Western Division.

You will oversee Walk to End Lupus Now events, secure corporate sponsorships, recruit teams, and lead committees while building relationships with sponsors and community leaders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in peer-to-peer fundraising, events, and donor engagement.
• Proven track record of exceeding fundraising goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Walk to End Lupus Now events with sponsorships and volunteer leadership.
• Coordinate Lupus & You Empowerment Conferences, including sponsorships and venues.
• Build relationships with volunteers, sponsors, partners, and community leaders to maximize revenue.
• Develop knowledge of lupus issues and program initiatives to support fundraising goals.
• Ensure fundraising activities align with the Foundation's mission and engage volunteers.
