Job summary

The Lupus Foundation of America is seeking a Development Director for the Southeast Region, Georgia Market. This full-time, exempt role is remote with a base in metro Atlanta, reporting to the Southeast Division Vice President.

You will drive revenue, lead events, and engage partners across the Georgia market to advance lupus research, education, and advocacy. You will manage high-impact fundraising, corporate sponsorships, peer-to-peer campaigns, and conferences, building relationships with

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in special event fundraising and relationship development.
• Broad based fundraising knowledge, experience and skill in nonprofit management with emphasis on strategic planning, financial management, and market development.
• Effectively multi-task, establish priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, implement, and lead strategies and tactics for fundraising and development activities to ensure growth and region success metrics.
• Lead planning and execution of Walk to End Lupus Now events with sponsorships and leadership development.
• Lead Lupus & You Empowerment Conferences, securing sponsorships, venues, speakers and recruitment.
• Build relationships with volunteers, participants, corporate partners, sponsors and community leaders.
• Achieve revenue goals by engaging stakeholders, sponsors, donors, committees and partners.
• Drive revenue growth for fundraising and education events in the market.
• Establish LFA presence in territory and develop future engagement opportunities.
• Maintain database of engagement information and sponsorship acknowledgments.
• Work evenings and weekends as required.
• Perform other duties to meet market financial goals.
