Job summary

Improve Your Tomorrow seeks a Director of Development to drive regional fundraising efforts in California. You will own the complete fundraising cycle, including planning, grant writing, donor cultivation, and event revenue, reporting to the Regional Executive Director.

This role collaborates with Shared Services to align national strategy while growing regional revenue. The DoD leads regional development operations, manages prospect pipelines, and ensures data integrity in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–7 years of fundraising and development experience.
• Proven grant-writing and donor cultivation ability.
• Strong Salesforce experience and data stewardship.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and events.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Knowledge of California philanthropic landscape preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional fundraising planning and revenue strategy.
• Own end-to-end grant writing for the region.
• Develop corporate, community and individual giving portfolios.
• Manage funder stewardship and regional relationships.
• Oversee Salesforce data integrity and reporting.
• Coordinate with Shared Services and the Executive Director.
• Support regional events, sponsorships, and revenue initiatives.
