Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Seven years minimum of work experience as a development professional.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including grant writing.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and fundraising databases.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and manage details.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual development plan and raise a budget of about $2 million.
• Develop a pipeline of prospects and arrange meetings with site director.
• Cultivate relationships with corporate, foundation staff and donors.
• Maintain portfolios of fundraising prospects and donors.
• Assist with advisory board meetings and related activities.
• Write grants, reports and budgets; compose thank you letters.
