Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to provide full lifecycle support to AWS Data Centers, from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.

You will be the go-to engineering resource for your region, reviewing design submittals and leading upgrades to improve capacity, availability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot with RCA, document corrective actions, and collaborate with Operations, Design, and Construction teams across multiple locations

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review design and equipment submittals for new data centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, SOP reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades to add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, EH&S to promote consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers and lead audits and on-site reviews.
