Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Colo Regional Engineer to lead data center assessments, review critical infrastructure designs, and guide upgrades across multiple regions.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliability, availability, and efficiency of AWS data center infrastructure. The role requires strong MEPS design experience, field presence, and the ability to manage concurrent projects in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and telecommunications facilities within the region.
• Reviews vendor infrastructure designs and performs risk analysis for AWS cloud compute and networking services.
• Review design and equipment submittals for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, perform RCA and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews.
