Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an Executive Director to lead a regional Credit Originations team within Community Development Banking. You will own end-to-end origination from opportunity evaluation to closing, partnering with Client Executives, risk, and credit stakeholders on complex affordable housing financings.

You will shape regional outcomes, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality client experiences across construction and permanent lending structures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of commercial banking/lending experience with credit structuring and loan documentation.
• Experience structuring and underwriting real estate lending, preferred focus on affordable/workforce housing.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk concepts, transaction structuring, and end-to-end execution.
• Excellent communication and the ability to engage with senior management and partners.
• Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with risk, legal, and closing teams.
• Proven analytical and business writing skills; familiarity with corporate banking training.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of Credit Originators, including performance management and coverage planning.
• Drive regional results with clear leadership principles and talent growth.
• Evaluate loan opportunities and guide key strengths/risks for decisions.
• Coach on structuring complex affordable/workforce housing loans and credit approvals.
• Coordinate term sheet/LOI development, documentation, and closing readiness.
• Partner with Client Executives to align origination with client strategy and priorities.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of underwriting outputs and credit packages.
• Maintain adherence to underwriting standards and policy updates.
• Mentor junior staff and strengthen regional origination capabilities.
