Job summary

Confidential, a regional leader in credit and collections, seeks a Regional Team Lead to oversee a multi‑state team in New York. You will drive credit decisions, manage aging and disputes, and partner with Sales to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and advanced Excel/ERP skills to analyze trends and implement improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in regional credit and collections environments.
• Strong knowledge of credit policies, collections practices and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements and credit reports.
• Proficient Excel and ERP system usage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor a regional credit and collections team.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collections on past-due accounts.
• Drive collection efforts on delinquent accounts and disputes.
• Manage escalation for challenging accounts requiring intervention.
• Support negotiated payment plans and settlements as needed.
• Assign workloads to optimize team performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyze delinquency trends and recommend actions.
• Review weekly reporting and provide feedback to the team.
• Collaborate with Sales on credit decisions and strategies.
• Support month-end and year-end AR activities.
• Assist with training and onboarding of team members.
• Participate in process improvements for efficiency.
