Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in the western United States seeks a Manager of Construction Management to lead the delivery of new Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon retail spaces, owning the regional construction pipeline from site handoff through design, construction execution, and turnover.

You will directly manage a team of up to six Construction Managers, coaching and developing talent while aligning pipeline priorities with Real Estate, Design, Store Operations, Procurement, and Finance, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct management, mentorship, leadership of construction management or commissioning professionals.
• Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of construction project managers to plan, schedule, and execute multiple complex construction projects.
• Oversee the work of construction contractors, subcontractors, and other external partners to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective risk management strategies.
• Optimize construction processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including internal business partners, customers, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project management team, ensuring design and engineering requirements are met.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Participate in the selection and management of construction vendors and service providers.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of construction-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop the construction project management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
