Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Construction Manager for the Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development – New Store Construction team. You will lead full construction lifecycles for new Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon retail spaces, coordinating with external partners and internal teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand spaces.

This role requires up to 60% travel, on-site collaboration with trades, and strong cost, schedule, and quality management to ensure timely delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of project management, real estate development, or architecture/design experience.
• Experience managing large-scale, end-to-end construction projects and coordinating with internal and external partners.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project execution in partnership with internal teams, ensuring alignment on schedule milestones and budget targets.
• Serve as the primary liaison between construction teams and internal partner organizations, fostering collaboration.
• Coordinate external project managers, architects, and contractors to meet project requirements.
• Manage customer and external partner relationships and define project parameters for quality and timely delivery.
• Support agreement negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners; monitor risk and drive corrective actions.
• Make trade-off decisions and defend them to internal stakeholders; monitor metrics and drive improvements.
