Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Manager of Construction Management to lead the delivery of new Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon physical retail spaces in the western United States. You will own the regional construction pipeline from site acquisition handoff through design, construction execution, and turnover, ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct management, mentorship, leadership, and coaching of construction management or commissioning professionals experience.
• Knowledge of project management tools
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting network, or experience in networking administration and troubleshooting and experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent.
• Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of construction project managers to plan, schedule, and execute multiple complex construction projects.
• Oversee the work of construction contractors, subcontractors, and other external partners to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective risk management strategies.
• Optimize construction processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including internal business partners, customers, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project management team, ensuring design and engineering requirements are met.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Participate in the selection and management of construction vendors and service providers.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of construction-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop the construction project management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
