Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager for the Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development (WWGRD) - New Store Construction team. This role oversees the full construction lifecycle for Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon physical retail spaces, including design review, contractor procurement, construction execution, and handover across assigned regions.

You will be on-site regularly, manage vendors and contracts, coordinate with Design, Real Estate, Operations, and Commissioning, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project execution with internal teams to meet schedule milestones and budget targets.
• Serve as liaison between construction teams and internal partner organizations to ensure collaboration.
• Coordinate external PMs, architects, design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
• Manage customer and external partner relationships and ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate risks and navigate challenging situations.
• Make trade-off decisions and defend them to stakeholders.
• Monitor project metrics and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Recommend improvements in scoping, testing, and deployment of projects.
• Review project requests against business needs for approvals or alternatives.
• Execute day-to-day operations autonomously to achieve outcomes.
