Job summary

Amazon's Worldwide Retail Growth and Development (WWRGD) seeks a Manager of Construction Management to lead the delivery of new Whole Foods Market stores and Amazon physical retail spaces across the western United States.

You will own the regional construction pipeline from site acquisition handoff through design, construction execution, and operational turnover, ensuring each project is delivered safely, on budget, on schedule, and to Amazon's quality standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct management, mentorship, leadership, and coaching of construction management professionals.
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of construction project managers to plan, schedule, and execute multiple projects.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors and external partners for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with effective risk management strategies.
• Optimize processes to improve safety, cost, and efficiency.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, including internal partners and regulators.
• Provide guidance to the team to meet design and engineering requirements.
• Monitor performance and report progress to senior management.
• Participate in vendor selection and management.
• Contribute to construction policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor the construction PM team and promote continuous improvement.
