Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Director/Director level Communications leader to guide internal and external communications across the Mid-Atlantic South region. You will counsel executives, supervise site communicators, and ensure alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations.

You will lead the development of comprehensive engagement programs, partner with leaders and subject matter experts, and measure impact on employee understanding and engagement. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-year degree and 10+ years in communications, journalism, or related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• In lieu of degree, 12-15 years of relevant experience.
• Interpersonal communication and management capabilities.
• Self-motivation and independence are critical.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strategic thinking and organizational sensitivity.
• Strong follow-through and performance expectations.
• Demonstrated managerial experience.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear site, as applicable.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic internal/external communications plans.
• Advise executives on communications issues and activities.
• Oversee staff and career development within the site communications team.
• Lead employee engagement and internal communications across the Mid-Atlantic South region.
• Coordinate with regional leadership and enterprise communications teams.
