Exelon is seeking a senior leader for statewide legislative affairs to advance company objectives. You will work directly with the General Assembly and executive branch, coordinating with subject matter experts and lobbyists to shape positions and analyses.

The role requires frequent travel, superb communication, and the ability to build strategic relationships across policy, regulatory, and community stakeholders. Advanced degrees are preferred for related fields.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 12+ years' experience in state, local or federal legislative arena.
• In lieu of degree, 15–20 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated communication skills: ability to analyze, interpret and represent data.
• Broad knowledge of utility operations, economics, regulatory and legislative processes.
• Ability to lead teams and organize long term projects.
• 5 years of supervisory experience.

Aufgaben

• Lead and direct company position on state legislative initiatives; frequent Springfield travel to interface with lawmakers and agencies.
• Coordinate between legislative team and subject matter experts on positions for legislation filed in general assembly.
• Direct communications with policymakers to ensure understanding of company issues and positions.
• Coordinate with contract lobbyists to ensure strategic lobbying and information flow to decision makers.
• Coordinate philanthropic and political events and fundraising to enhance reputation with policy leaders.
