Exelon is building a more affordable, reliable energy future and seeks a communications leader to support the Director of Communications. The role oversees a regional team and coordinates internal and external messaging across the Mid-Atlantic South region, including BGE, Pepco and Delmarva Power.

You will translate complex business issues for employees, work with senior leadership, and measure engagement with strategic plans and campaigns to inform and educate stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree and 10+ years in communications/journalism or related field.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• 12-15 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong interpersonal communication and management skills.
• High level of self-motivation and independence.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strategic thinking ability; organizational sensitivity.
• Demonstrated managerial experience.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear site, as applicable.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop, manage, and execute strategic communications plans.
• Implement and manage creative communication vehicles and approaches.
• Advise executives on internal and external communications issues and activities.
• Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff and contribute to career development and business planning.
• Execute external outreach and press relations; ensure community outreach plans are implemented.
