Job summary

Kidder Mathews is seeking a Regional Chief to support the SVP & Director of Engineering in managing the financial performance of the Engineering Department. You will understand the budget, maximize profitability while maintaining service, and partner with the Asset Services Team on business development opportunities.

You will act as a technical resource for the Engineering Team, ensuring maintenance demands are met with professionalism and timely responses to tenant and owner requests.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in commercial building maintenance or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience operating relevant computer hardware/software (e.g. HVAC, security, MS Office, Work order system, smartphones).
• 3+ years in a direct supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Participate and support business development activities.
• Serve as a technical resource to the Engineering team.
• Manage and lead team of Building Engineers and Maintenance Technicians including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, training, development, evaluation and disciplinary action of employees.
• Provide coaching, direction and leadership to employees to achieve portfolio, company and client results.
• Promote and maintain a positive working environment aligned with Kidder Mathews values.
• Conduct regular team meetings and safety trainings.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance program for the portfolio.
• Ensure inspections are completed on time and communicated to the Property Manager.
• Provide feedback to Property Manager regarding repairs and services.
• Ensure routine maintenance and custodial tasks are completed; perform these tasks as assigned.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Maintain property appearance to company and client standards.
• Participate in property tours or meetings with clients.
• Partner with vendors to ensure quality of work.
