Job summary

Kidder Mathews is seeking a Chief Building Engineer to oversee maintenance for the Seattle portfolio. You will supervise Building Engineers and Maintenance Technicians, manage preventative maintenance, ensure timely responses to tenant and owner requests, and coordinate with vendors to deliver high-quality work across properties.

This role requires deep knowledge of building systems, safety and operations, plus strong leadership and communication skills to drive client satisfaction and ensure

Qualifications

10+ years in commercial building maintenance.
3+ years in direct supervisory role.
Experience with typical office building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, life safety).

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of Building Engineers and Maintenance Technicians, including recruitment and performance management.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs across the portfolio.
Respond to tenant/owner requests and coordinate with Property Managers and vendors.
Inspect properties and ensure safety and compliance with standards.
Oversee vendor contracts and ensure quality of work meet expectations.
