Job summary

NMS is seeking a Remote Vac/Water Truck Driver for Prudhoe Bay. The role involves operating a truck to load/unload at potable water and wastewater fixtures, delivering or picking up commodities within the assigned Arctic region, and performing vehicle maintenance and safety duties.

The position requires a Class A/B CDL with a tank endorsement, DOT physical, and at least two years of large-vehicle experience in Arctic conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a class "A" or "B" CDL as required for the trucks.
• Tank endorsement "N" or "X" required due to 1,000+ gallon tanks.
• Valid D.O.T. physical required.
• Two years' experience operating large commercial vehicles in Arctic settings.
• Water Distribution I and Wastewater Collection I certificates recommended.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean 3-year record.
• Must pass pre-employment testing and training.
• Ability to work in a team and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload at potable water/wastewater fixtures or loading docks.
• Drive to customer premises and load/unload as needed.
• Record quantities using gauges/meters.
• Perform maintenance and fueling duties on vehicles.
• Attend safety toolbox meetings and conduct job safety evaluations.
• Travel to remote camps as required.
