Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Associate Market Development Manager for Biosciences to drive regional marketing plans and demand generation for consumables in Molecular Biology. You will coordinate with Global Market Development, Marketing Operations, Product Management, and Sales to meet portfolio goals in a fast-moving market.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, campaign messaging, and data-driven decision making to grow revenue and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field with 2+ years’ experience in a marketing role
• Preferred: Master’s degree in life sciences or MBA in marketing or business
• Understands the customer value proposition and has experience in demand/lead generation strategies
• Understands marketing planning and strategy; is familiar with life science research markets and competitors
• Collaborates to work on problems of routine to diverse scope; influences cross-functional peer groups without direct authority; and identifies problems, answers questions, and gains participation of others to implement efficient solutions in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Has technical knowledge in molecular biology
• Applies strong analytical skills to interpret business problems and identifies business needs from data
• Provides strategic and tactical direction and expertise to the broader marketing team
• Communicates to business partners with regularly oral and written messages updating key business metrics, successes, failures, standard methodologies, etc. to optimize strategies and tactics and achieve targets
• Proactively and productively participates in cross-functional teams to achieve goals of the company, our customers, and our colleagues

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop tactical action plans that drive growth in key channels and customer segments
• Develop and drive messaging and tools that communicate the value proposition to our customers through multiple channels including our sales teams, digital marketing, and distribution.
• Achieve sales and market goals for your portfolio. Perform and present detailed analyses & routine reports of business performance.
• Provide Voice-of-Customer and Voice-of-Sales feedback to optimize the most effective product positioning and strategy.
