Job summary

Terracon in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Billing and Invoicing Specialist to ensure precise and timely invoicing for complex regional projects. You will collaborate with IT and Finance teams to optimize invoicing systems and processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of invoicing experience (or 9+ years without degree). Strong leadership, communication, and MS Office proficiency are essential.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; 5+ years in field, or 9 years without degree.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring staff; ability to adapt to changing workflow.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accuracy and timely completion of invoicing for complex regional projects.
• Support escalated invoicing and reporting with other Corporate/Operational Finance staff.
• Coordinate workload of Regional Finance Team and assign special projects.
• Interpret project contracts for billing and revenue recognition and explain impact on financials.
• Collaborate with Project Management to ensure evidence of arrangement for revenue recognition.
• Resolve invoicing questions and follow up with operations and departments.
• Perform QA audits on invoicing and collections processes.
• Provide professional internal and external client service via phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Participate in system testing and training materials development for invoicing.
