Job summary

Recess is seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Beverage, to drive distributor performance, retail activation, and key customer relationships across the Massachusetts region. You will lead market strategies to meet volume, share, and distribution targets while executing trade and promotional programs.

The role requires 5–7 years of CPG beverage sales with distributor management, strong knowledge of DSD, and proven ability to deliver distribution and volume goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 5-7 years of CPG beverage sales experience with distributor management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of DSD systems and retail execution in beverages.
• Proven track record of delivering distribution, display, and volume goals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with syndicated data a plus.
• Highly organized and results-driven with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% within the Massachusetts region.

Responsibilities

• Lead distributor management for assigned markets, ensuring alignment on execution priorities and sales objectives.
• Drive distribution, display, and velocity KPIs across grocery, convenience, and mass channels.
• Partner with national and regional account teams to ensure proper execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
• Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and retail audits to monitor execution.
• Provide feedback and coaching to distributor sales teams, ensuring compliance with Recess standards.
• Manage retail activation of shopper marketing programs, POS, and promotional calendars.
• Track regional sales performance and report results, opportunities, and risks to leadership.
