Job summary

Ethos Farm to Health is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to oversee the full cycle of organic vegetable production on our regenerative 342-acre farm. You will lead the farm team, plan seasons from seed to harvest, and ensure market-grade produce for our farm market and community programs.

The role balances field work with systems development and team leadership in a market garden setting, requiring hands-on management of less than 3 acres and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in organic vegetable production.
• Proven leadership or crew management experience.
• Ability to operate farm tools and equipment; tractor experience a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute annual and seasonal crop plans, including rotation and schedules.
• Maintain organic certification standards and regenerative practices.
• Monitor crop health and apply sustainable soil-management strategies.
• Lead, train, and mentor field crew and volunteers.
• Coordinate daily workflow and set priorities with the team.
• Oversee harvest planning and wash/pack area efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of plantings, labor, and certifications.
