Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Atlanta is seeking a School Success Caseworker to connect newcomer families with schools and community resources. You will lead afterschool and summer programs, provide tutoring and mentoring, and help families navigate school systems.

This role requires collaboration with the Youth Supervisor and involves data management, outreach, and coordination of services across IRC programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience working with students and families in education or social services.
• Experience with refugee/immigrant populations and multilingual learners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily afterschool and summer program activities.
• Provide tutoring, mentoring, and social-emotional learning support.
• Support student recruitment, attendance monitoring, and family outreach.
• Coordinate workshops, enrichment opportunities, and field trips.
• Maintain participant records and program data.
• Assist with volunteer coordination and program communications.
• Engage with school staff to coordinate services for IRC clients.
