Job summary

The International Institute in Missouri seeks a dedicated Resettlement Housing Coordinator to secure safe, affordable housing for newly arrived refugees and immigrants in the Springfield area. You will coordinate housing set-ups, inspections, and logistics with landlords, volunteers, and staff to ensure timely placements.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced social services environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housing services, social services, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced social services environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure rental housing in the Springfield service area.
• Inspect properties for safety and occupancy standards.
• Coordinate housing set-ups and move-ins for refugees and immigrants.
• Liaise with landlords, volunteers, and staff to align housing needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Travel to sites across the Springfield service area as needed.
• Attend trainings and team meetings as required.
• Support program operations during client arrivals.
