Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area seeks a Case Manager to recruit, enroll, and provide comprehensive employment-focused case management to refugees, asylees, and other ORR-eligible populations in Virginia's RSSEP. You will conduct intake interviews, develop CRP/IEP, provide counseling, and coordinate with ELT and STEP referrals to promote durable self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include job development, post-employment follow-up, and ensuring compliance with RSSEP and ONA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Human Services, Workforce Development, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in refugee resettlement, employment services, case management, or workforce development.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RSSEP initial intake interviews with newly enrolled clients, explaining program goals, participation requirements, and consequences of non-participation.
• Develop and jointly complete a Comprehensive Resettlement Plan (CRP) and Individual Employment Plan (IEP) with each client, identifying employment goals and barriers.
• Provide pre-employment and post-employment counseling, coaching, and mentoring, including American workplace orientation and job search assistance.
• Conduct job development through direct employer contacts to identify employment opportunities.
• Coordinate English Language Training (ELT), vocational training, and STEP referrals with employment activities.
• Provide employment support services including transportation, childcare, and interpretation/translation related to employment.
• Perform post-employment follow-up to verify retention and identify needs for additional services.
• Manage case files and ensure compliance with RSSEP and funding requirements.
