Job summary

Lutheran-Social-Services-of-the-National-Capital-Are seeks a Deputy Director, Employment Services and Integration, to lead RSS, RTCA and RCP in Maryland. Based in Greenbelt, travel to Frederick/Arbutus as needed, you will drive strategic planning, compliance, and partnerships with funders to advance refugee economic self-sufficiency.

You will supervise the Employment and Integration Services Manager and collaborate with agency leadership to ensure trauma-informed, client-centered service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Workforce Development, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in refugee/immigrant services, employment services, or workforce development, including supervisory or program management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland refugee employment programs (RTCA/RCA and RCP) and of MORA/ORR compliance requirements.
• Experience managing state/federal grants, including budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and case management/data systems (e.g., Apricot, MDET, MRIS).
• Ability to collaborate across programs and with multilingual populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational oversight of RSS, RTCA, and RCP programs, ensuring funder compliance.
• Directly supervise the Employment and Integration Services Manager and support staff development.
• Coordinate with funders, partners, and agency leadership to align programs and expand funding opportunities.
• Oversee data reporting, audits, and program improvements to meet KPIs and quality goals.
