Job summary

REAS assists refugees to adjust and adapt to the American Workplace and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency. This on-site Case Manager role at JVS SoCal supports clients in Los Angeles County with caseload management and job readiness services.

The position coordinated with DPSS, CalWORKs, and GAIN, guiding clients through program choices and documenting progress while modeling professional attire and conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or AA degree with 2 years of case management or employment counseling experience.
• Overseas four-year degrees must be evaluated to a U.S. degree.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs office and telephone interviews, data entry, scheduling, and other case-related activities.
• Reviews employment goals with clients and makes individual job matches.
• Ensures clients have a basic resume and practicing interview techniques.
• Registers and monitors attendance and activities on caseload monthly.
• Assists clients in locating job openings using available tools and resources.
