Job summary

Doswell Operating Group is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician for our RVA Property Managers division. The role covers installation, repair, and upgrades of refrigeration equipment in commercial settings across the organization, with potential growth within the department as the maintenance team expands.

Requirements include 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years commercial refrigeration experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is preferred.
• Fluent English-speaking and writing skills are required.
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities.
• Able to work irregular and extended hours, including an on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment, identify issues and determine best course of action.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance for HVAC & refrigeration systems.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment for safe operation.
• Perform refrigerant line brazing, nitrogen sweeping, and evacuation protocols.
• Erect, seal, and insulate walk-in coolers and freezer boxes.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned.
• Prepare written materials for customers and supervisors.
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours.
