Job summary

Prism Specialty Restoration is seeking an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to diagnose, service, and repair a wide variety of appliances while upholding high standards of customer service and technical excellence.

The role involves on-site and off-site diagnostics and repairs for major appliances, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Preference is given to those with EPA 608 certification and factory certifications from major brands.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I or Universal) required.
• Factory certifications from GE Appliances, LG, Samsung or Whirlpool preferred.
• Solid experience repairing major appliances.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy appliance equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and off-site diagnostic, repair, and maintenance for appliances including refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges and ovens.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and sealed system issues accurately and safely.
• Provide clear communication with customers about repair options and costs.
• Maintain van inventory, tools, and documentation of completed jobs.
• Assist with building maintenance and servicing equipment in the facility.
• Assist in managing crews on commercial projects.
• Follow all safety protocols, environmental standards, and company procedures.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Appliance Repair Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, service, and repair a wide variety of appliances while maintaining high standards of customer service and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and off-site diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for appliances, including walk-in coolers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, and ovens.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and sealed system issues accurately and safely.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding repair options, costs, and maintenance advice.
• Manage service van inventory, tools, and documentation of completed jobs.
• Assist with building maintenance and servicing equipment located within our facility.
• Assist in managing crews on commercial projects.
• Follow all safety protocols, environmental standards, and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I or Universal): Required for handling refrigerants in sealed systems (e.g., standard and flammable refrigerants like R-600a).
• Factory Certifications: Major manufacturer certifications (e.g., GE Appliances, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool) are strongly preferred.
• Solid experience troubleshooting and repairing major appliances.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift heavy appliance equipment and maneuver in safely.

Preferred Experience with computers, consumer electronics, appliances, and commercial equipment.
