Job summary

United States Sugar Corp is seeking a Shift Operations Manager to supervise the refining of raw sugar into a food-grade product across the shift. You will ensure production targets and costs are met while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership to direct operators and coordinate across stations. The SOM serves as site incident commander and oversees waste treatment, utilities, packaging, and refinery operations during off-shift periods.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED equivalency.
• 10 years of related experience in Food Processing (Sugar preferred).
• Hands On – Floor Experience.
• Two or more years of Supervisory/Leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Six Sigma training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee refining of raw sugar to food-grade product on assigned shift.
• Maintain projected production levels and cost control.
• Direct operators, set priorities, troubleshoot process problems.
• Review process data to optimize yield and throughput.
• Act as site incident commander during emergencies; ensure safety.
• Support budgets and cost-reduction initiatives; track KPIs.
