Job summary

ASR Group in Crockett, CA is seeking a Process Team Manager to ensure efficient refining of raw sugar and production of finished products in line with quality standards. The role requires supervising refinery operations, coordinating shift activities, and maintaining GMP compliance.

Flexible with rotating days/nights/weekends and overtime to support 24/7 plant operations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance or service, strong leadership, and proficiency with Word, Excel

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Industrial food processing experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
• 4-year degree or 5 years supervisory experience in similar refinery operation required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the entire refining process from receipt of dry raw sugar through melting, clarification, decolorization, filtration, crystallization and drying and directs the production of finished products in liquid form.
• Supervises directly all process activities.
• Assures that specified quality standards are met at all stages of the process.
• Modifies the process within established limits to meet objective at least cost.
• Sets priorities on shift and meets shift objectives.
• Controls energy, water, air, and electric power to reduce refining costs.
• Responsible for house control locks and sugar losses prevention.
• Develops supervisory and operating personnel for optimum labor use.
• Handles employee and labor relations problems on shift within guidelines.
• Coordinates plant operations on swing and night shifts and liaises with government agencies.
• Observes process operations and recommends improvements.
• Responsible for training and safety and GMP compliance.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis.
