ASR Group in Maryland seeks an Assistant Process Department Manager to plan, coordinate, manage and control raw sugar and processing operations for the refinery. The role focuses on minimizing sucrose losses, reducing production costs, and upholding safety, sanitation and environmental compliance.

The position leads the Process Team Managers and Supervisors, driving continuous improvement, capital planning, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve plant goals and ensure reliable customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading other leaders in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Experience building sustainable programs with lean, TPM, six sigma, etc.

Responsabilités

• Act as a safety leader for the team and ensure protocols are followed.
• Review daily/weekly process operations with managers to improve refinery efficiency.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning to emphasize safety, quality and cost.
• Develop and implement plans to improve departmental performance and cost reduction.
• Lead training and initiatives to meet plant goals and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues using lab data and process instrumentation.
