Job summary

Marathon Martinez Renewables Facility in Martinez, California seeks a Refinery Operations Shift Supervisor. The role supports rotating 4 days on/4 days off (12-hour shifts) with after-hours calls and outage support.

Posting covers RF, PC Logistics, or Cogen operations teams. Responsibilities include leading safety culture, shift operations, and production plan execution, with opportunities for growth and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least four years of experience as an oil refining operator or renewables facility operator.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and perform all field tasks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must obtain a TWIC Card.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• 5% travel requirement.
• Must be able to work rotating 4 days on/off schedule (12-hour shifts).

Responsibilities

• Create a committed ownership culture with clear expectations and accountability for Operational Excellence.
• Establish and maintain a safety and environmental excellence culture by modeling safe practices.
• Lead shift in Conduct of Operations with shift relief, job planning, equipment prep, work permitting and JJSV.
• Ensure safe, efficient, compliant production plan execution and monitor unit status.
• Support unit reliability through equipment care, rounds reviews, and maintenance readiness.
