Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Martinez Renewables Facility in Martinez, California, seeks a Refinery Operations Excellence Specialist to support Operations Excellence Management Systems, procedures, troubleshooting, training, and change management across RF, PC Logistics, or Cogen teams. The role requires 9/80 or 5/40 onsite schedules, after-hours support, and travel up to 5%.

You will develop procedures, mentor trainees, participate in MOC and PSSR, Hazop, audits, and turnarounds, and help

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
At least four (4) years of experience in oil refinery operations or renewables facility operations.
Proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develops, updates, and maintains Operating Procedures in compliance with standards.
Participates in MOC and PSSR, trains personnel on changes, updates docs.
Manages operator round database and hardware requirements per site rules.
Supports operator training requirements and the Operator Training Standard Practice.
Leads or supports incident investigations and recommends corrective actions.
Supports turnarounds and projects with staffing, procedures, and MOC adherence.
