Job summary

PBF Energy Inc. at the Martinez Refinery in California seeks a Refinery Safety Leader to serve as on-shift Emergency Response and Health and Safety representative. Lead ER training, audit safety programs, and ensure safe work permitting with the Safety Manager and Fire Chief.

The role requires rotating shifts, night/weekend coverage, and TWIC eligibility, with a strong emphasis on emergency response and industrial hygiene monitoring.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Health and Safety or Emergency Response experience preferred.
• Emergency Response experience in refinery or industrial setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-shift Emergency Response team lead/Incident Commander and coordinate with outside ER agencies.
• Provide 24/7 Health and Safety coverage and leadership for refinery activities; lead safety discussions and audits.
• Conduct ER and safety training, supervise permit processes, and support incident investigations.
