Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP’s Martinez Renewables Facility in Martinez, California seeks a Refinery Operations Shift Supervisor. The on-site rotating schedule is 4 days on, 4 days off (12-hour shifts) with days and nights and after-hours calls; coverage may include RF, PC Logistics, or Cogen teams.

You will lead safety culture, ensure production plan execution, collaborate across units, mentor staff, and manage scheduling while ensuring compliance with procedures and startup/shutdown

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least four (4) years of experience as an oil refining operator or renewables facility operator.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Travel requirement: 5%.

Responsibilities

• Leads shift in safety, operational excellence and readiness, including shift relief/start-of-shift meetings and proper job planning.
• Directs safe, efficient, and compliant execution of the production plan and coordinates with other units.
• Coordinates abnormal situations, troubleshooting, and mitigation or recovery activities.
• Manages operator scheduling and training support, with ability to cover a console position as needed.
