Job summary

Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Referral Intake Coordinator to secure and confirm authorizations before scheduling new patient appointments.

You will collect referrals, create patient charts in Salesforce and eCW, schedule initial consultations, and maintain communication with referral sources and internal teams. The role requires HIPAA knowledge and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• HIPAA and applicable laws knowledge.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, eCW, and MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional customer service and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure authorizations are obtained before scheduling new patient appointments.
• Collect and track new patient referrals; maintain referral log.
• Create new patient charts in Salesforce and eCW with complete data.
• Schedule and reschedule initial consultations as needed.
• Provide patients with timely appointment information and instructions.
• Respond to inquiries from patients and referral sources promptly.
• Document and relay messages accurately.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
