Job summary

Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is seeking a full-time Referral Intake Coordinator to join our Houston-area outpatient clinic. The role involves securing authorizations, managing referrals, and creating patient charts in Salesforce and eCW to support timely initial appointments.

Ideal candidates have HIPAA knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of medical office or facility experience.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and applicable laws.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, eCW, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and confirm authorizations prior to scheduling new patients.
• Collect and track new patient referrals; maintain a referral log.
• Create new patient charts in Salesforce and eCW with accurate data.
• Schedule and reschedule initial consultations as needed.
• Provide patients with appointment information and instructions.
• Respond to telephone and email inquiries professionally.
• Document and relay messages accurately.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
