• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical terminology certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals for services requested by providers within guidelines.
• Obtain authorizations for referrals and schedule appointments with patients.
• Coordinate appointment date, time and location with patients.
• Process requests for additional referrals/authorizations as requested by providers.
• Maintain referrals within network or payer requirements.
• Communicate with stakeholders, staff, providers, payers and patients per procedure.
• Document required information into appropriate systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff and other customers.
